Among the artifacts \u2014 copies of documents and photographs, that captured the moment when Yuzovka\u00a0(now Donetsk)\u00a0was founded, as well as personal photos of British businessman John Hughes, the founder of the city.<\/p>\n<p>Artifacts for DS were provided by artist Paul Chaney, one of the residents of IZOLYATSIA 2012\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/izolyatsia.org\/en\/project\/turborjealizm-proriv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Turborealism (Breaking Ground)<\/a>. This year, with the support of IZOLYATSIA and Donbas Studies project, Paul Chaney is realizing his research project on Donbas as part an artist residency program \u2014\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kunsthall.no\/default_e.asp?AID=1930&amp;ID=26&amp;K=1&amp;a1=Kunsthall&amp;a2=Kommende&amp;a3=Urbanomic&amp;act=kom%22%20%5Cl%20%22.VMNkM8Z7Jqc#.VNoRndKsU7k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Urbanomic: The Ultimate Yarnwork<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Urbanomic is a publisher and arts organization based in the UK that engages in interdisciplinary thinking and production. For this residency, director Robin Mackay works in collaboration with artist Paul Chaney and others to develop a research programme that overthrows the notion of \u2018site-specificity\u2019 in favour of the concept of \u2018plot\u2019. A plot is a thread one follows to trace a local phenomena back to its global conditions.
