On September 2, at 4 PM, as part of the ZMINA project, IZOLYATSIA will host the presentation and discussion of the collection of stories of IDPs titled Disadvantaged? Undefeated!, published by the Pylyp Orlyk Institute for Democracy with the support from Internews Europe.
The collection of essays tells stories of people who after having left their native Donbas and Crimea had to rediscover Ukraine inside themselves. Scattered around Ukraine, these people have faced the harshest challenges, but managed to overcome them and become a model for others. Some of them keep on doing their favourite job, while others had to start from scratch. Some are focused on their own business, whereas others gather and unite people around them. They cope with their homelessness, look for a way out and support others because they believe that by solving others’ problems, they make their own smaller. These are collected stories of strong and active people who are an important resource for the Ukrainian society.
